SIR FOXLEY TORA V is an outstanding Lusitano Sporthorse gelding expected to mature at approximately 16.2hh+ and is destined for success at the highest levels of dressage. With his strong affection for people, excellent trainability, and immense trust, he has the potential to become a cherished friend and would thrive in any discipline.
Bred from elite bloodlines, Fox showcases remarkable movement, featuring a natural cadence in his trot, a purposeful walk with over track, a powerful uphill canter, exceptional conformation, and an eye-catching presence.
Fox exemplifies the popular crossbreeding of Lusitano and Warmblood, which has gained popularity in European dressage circles. This combination brings together the elegant body structure, energy, and light-footed movement of the Warmblood with the strength, temperament, and trainability of the Lusitano.
His sire, CELERE (IMP), is one of the most decorated Lusitano performance stallions in the Southern Hemisphere. Fox's dam, BRADGATE PARK WHITNEY was a talented jumping mare and descended from some of the most talented Warmlood sires in the dressage world, including Wynyon, Jazz, Rubinstein, and Matador II. It is evident that talent runs deep in Fox's lineage.
Fox has been well cared for since birth and has had a positive upbringing. He is easy to lead, tie, groom, rug, and float. Fox has always received hard feed twice daily, has access to quality pasture, and is well socialized. His feet are trimmed every five weeks, and his worming and vaccinations are up to date. He is stabled at night and paddocked during the day, where he is content to be alone or with another horse. The microchip and registration are both completed with the LHAA.
In May 2024, Fox spent three weeks with a professional trainer friend, which is standard procedure for all our weanlings and young horses. This experience exposes them to different environments, horses, and handling by others. The trainer really enjoyed working with Fox and nicknamed him "Cling Wrap" because of his affectionate nature. He is very trusting and loves attention, allowing you to brush and pamper him for hours. He is curious and will approach unfamiliar objects, showing that he is not easily spooked.
Fox’s grandsire is the black 17hh KWPN Keur approved stallion JAZZ son, WYNTON. WYNTON was named champion of the KWPN stallion licensing at the 70-day testing for three-year-olds in 2006, where he earned a score of 9 for his trot and canter, 8.5 for his walk, and a 9 for overall capability as a dressage horse. Additionally, the dam line of WYNTON includes outstanding sires such as MATADOR II (ridden by Kyra Kyrklund), RUBINSTEIN I, and WELT AS, who is the sire of BONFIRE (ridden by Anky van Grunsven).
